  • Previous Presentation Disclosure Note
    • Oral communications and posters at the annual conference should be novel. It is acceptable to submit abstracts related to information already reported at another conference or in a journal, however, authors must declare and make clear the new information that will be presented when submiting. Have parts of the data been published previously before?
  • Disclosure of Potential Conflict of Interest
    • All presenters of oral and poster presentations must disclose any actual or apparent conflict of interest related to the content of their presentation.
      Delegates, attending supported educational meetings must be aware of any potential biases a presenter may have in the presentation of material, thus allowing delegates to properly evaluate the content of the presentation.

      In order to inform delegates attending such meetings, the organising committee requires that all presenters disclose any involvement with industry that may potentially influence the presentation of their material.

      Potential Conflict of Interest must be made known to the organising committee at the time of acceptance of an invitation to present an oral presentation or on submission of an abstract for consideration for an oral or poster presentation.

      It is the sole responsability of the individual speaker/presenter to make such disclosure at the time of the presentation. Presenters who have no involvement with industry should inform the delegates that they have no conflict of interest to disclose.

      Disclosure may be done verbally, by using a slide at the beginning of a presentation or in written form by a statement at the end of a poster presentation.

      Examples of potencial conflict of interest include, but are not limited to:

      • Any direct financial interest in a company whose area(s) of interests are covered by the presentation;
      • Investments held in the Company;
      • Membership on the Company's Advisory Board or similar committee;
      • Current or recent participation in a clinical trial sponsored by the Company;
      • Assisting in the design of and/or participaning in clinical studies using products manufactured by the Company;
      • Research supported by the Company;
      • Employee (full or part time) of the Company;
      • In receipt of consulting fee or other remuneration including fee as Speaker from the Company;
      • Holding a patent for a product referred to in the presentation or marketed by the Company or in receipt of royalties.
